PowerColor Announces Water Cooled AMD Radeon HD 7970 Video Card – LCS HD7970
TUL Corporation yesterday released the first and only liquid cooled AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics card that you can purchase ready to go with the introduction of the PowerColor LCS HD7970. The PowerColor LCS HD7970 uses a full coverage waterblock from EKwaterblocks. By using water cooling they were able to enhance the overclocking headroom and they factory overclocked this card up to 1150MHz on the core clock OC setting at 1150MHz core and 1425MHz (5.7Gbps) on the memory clock.
The PowerColor LCS HD7970 dissipates the heat from the nickel coated copper base which fully covers the key components, enhancing anti-oxidizing ability and allowing GPU temperature under 50C even under full load. Moreover, with acetal surface of water block design, preventing moisture damage to ensure the longer life cycle. PowerColor LCS HD7970 packages a high-flow 3/8″ and 1/2″ fittings (barbs) to maximize water flow with captured o-rings to prevent leakage. Gamers can customize their own liquid cooling system using these two fittings.
