AMD Announces FirePro V3900 Professional Graphics Card For $119
AMD has launched the AMD FirePro V3900, which is the companies entry-level priced workstation graphics card. AMD says that the FireProV3900 provides up to 95% better application performance than the competition thanks to AMD’s latest graphics features, including AMD Eyefinity technology. The AMD FirePro V3900 is currently available in select workstation systems and will be sold for $119 MSRP at select online resellers.
The AMD FirePro V3900 is based off the ‘Turks’ GPU and has 480 stream processors and 1GB of DDR3 memory. This setup allows for 28.8 GB/s of memory bandwidth and 624 GFLOPS of compute performance. It looks like this card will have a nice little performance bump over the FirePro V3800 that it replaces as it has twice the memory bandwidth and a 20% higher compute rating.
