NVIDIA Quadro GPUs Lend Special Effects To The Muppets Movie

The Muppets returned to the silver screen today, and this time theyre packing a little GPU technology to spice up the action. Look Effects, a Los Angeles visual effects house, used NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards to render and composite each scene for the movie. Check out this short video for a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, from the visual effects studio that worked on the film.

“Dont worry, youre not going to see computer-generated Muppets. Theyre still the same furry friends that we grew up with. But they are packing some nifty effects that are hard to film in real life like blowing up Mount Rushmore, for example.”
