NVidia and ARM target next-gen devices

Graphics processor firm nVidia has teamed up with UK-based chip company ARM to pool technology in a bid to accelerate the development of next-generation consumer devices.

Under the terms of the deal nVidia has licensed the ARM 11 MPCore processor to add application processing functionality to its forthcoming graphics and digital media processing system-on-chip architectures.
