ARCHOS Introduces 250GB Android-Powered G9 Tablets

By

ARCHOS has announced that their new G9 series tablet PCs will be available for purchase on September 20, 2011. The Android Honeycomb-powered tablets will feature fast dual-core processors up to 1.5GHz, and storage capacity up to 250GB. The 8-inch ARCHOS 80 G9 8GB will start at $299. If 8-inches is just too small, ARCHOS has a 10.1-inch ARCOS 101 G9 16GB that is $399. ARCHOS even fitted the Seagate’s Momentus ultra thin hard drives with dedicated 4GB flash cache with the G9 for tons of storage. There are a lot of tablets on the market, but ARCHOS might make some noise with their large storage options and overall band for the buck.

With its 8 G9 tablet, ARCHOS will be the first to market with a dual-core, Android Honeycomb 3.2 tablet under $300 featuring an OMAP 4 processor with an ARM Cortex dual-core A9 at 1 GHz for $299. Pushing the technological boundaries even further, the ARCHOS G9 Turbo will be the first and only Android tablet in the market under $400 to use the OMAP 4 dual-core processor up to 1.5 GHz, which gives it 50% more raw computational power over its 1 GHz competitors.
