Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Use Steam
Valve has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the PC will use the Steamworks suite of services. CoD:MW3 is anticipated to be one of the year’s most anticipated gaming titles and is now available to millions of users for pre-purchase via Steam. Valve has scheduled the latest title in the Call of Duty franchise to hit the streets on November 8, but those who pre-purchase the game will be able to play as soon as Valve and Activision turn the switch on.
The PC version of the product will be powered with Steamworks for both the digital and tangible versions of the game and, as with all Steamworks titles, offline play will also be supported along with Auto-Updating, Achievements, and more. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also support dedicated servers on day 1.
