LaCie CooKey Gets Security Software Suit
LaCie announced that the recently announced CooKey now includes a custom-built software suite for data security LaCie’s Private-Public software for data encryption and password protection, PC/Mac Lock for simple and secure computer access and one-to-one storage from Wuala. The LaCie CooKey is available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities through the LaCie Online Store, LaCie Corner, and LaCie Reseller+ starting at $29.99.
LaCie PC/Mac Lock software allows a user to log on and off a computer simply by inserting the CooKey. That’s it! With PC/Mac Lock, users can keep their computers as secure as their homesand only they have the key. Once the CooKey is plugged in to the computer’s USB port, PC/Mac Lock will automatically log the user in to the operating systemthen when it’s removed, they’re logged out, providing protection and security. Just one LaCie USB key can lock and unlock an unlimited number of Macs or PCs.
