Razer Launches Redesigned Mouse Bungee For $19.99

Nine months ago Razer announced that the company had hired Ed Larkin of Mouse Bungee and that Razer will be bringing the Mouse Bungee back to market! It must take a long time to produce a mouse cord holder as Razer just now announced that the device will be shipping on July 28th! The Razer Mouse Bungee also looks very different than the image released back in October 2010.

Mouse Bungee

I guess we have found out why it took nearly 10 months for the Mouse Bungee to come to market under the new name as they clearly re-designed it from the ground up.

Razer Mouse Bungee

I owned the original Mouse Bungee from the 1990’s and know that the quarter pound chrome stabilizer sphere was needed to keep the thing from moving around while gaming. This metal weight appears to be missing, but the press release says the base is now weighted. Interested they changed a design that has worked for 15 years, but I guess the real question is how will these sell in the day and age of wireless gaming mice! The Razer Mouse Bungee starts shipping on July 28th and is being sold for $19.99 or 19.99 for our friends across the pond.

Back in the old days, mice werent as well-made as today and the cord would tangle and drag against surfaces, a major source of annoyance for any serious gamer, said Robert RazerGuy Krakoff, President, Razer. Then the Mouse Bungee came along and solved all that by keeping the mouse cord off the ground so your swiping is optimally drag-free. Razers proud to rejuvenate such an innovative contraption for next generation gamers looking to achieve the highest level of gaming performance with their mice.
