Microsoft Xbox 720 Not Being Revealed at E3 2011
It is highly likely that the next version of Microsoft’s Xbox console is already being tested by an outside developers, but don’t expect it to be shown off at E3 next month. Over the weekend rumors about EA having received a prototype Xbox last month led to many guessing that it would be announced at E3 next month. Last we heard it was looking like a 2012 release, but you never know in this industry.
Fresh from the rumor mill, a report from Develop a trade news site for developers said that a senior, trusted, well-placed source had seen a new prototype of the Xbox hiding in plain sight in a PC shell at an unidentified EA studio. The sites source hazarded a guess that the console could debut at E3 , though Eurogamer has since checked with its sources, who said that a debut is highly unlikely.
