Playstation Network

Sony have been having problems with the Playstation Network since Wednesday this week, and as of today the network is still down. This has left millions of PS3 gamers unable to play online for the best part of a week, and if the network is still down tomorrow during the weekend, it will leave at lot of gamers with a sour taste in their mouths.

Many suspect the outage has been caused by the Anonymous group in retaliation for filing a lawsuit against George Hotz (alias ‘GeoHot’), in relation to his hacking work on the PS3, but Anonymous are denying responsibility for this one.

Millions of gamers are unable to play online as the Playstation Network remains unavailable.

Users are seeing error messages stating the network is “undergoing maintenance” or is “suspended”.

In a blog post, maker Sony said it turned off the network on Wednesday after it detected an “external intrusion” and that it was doing all it could to resolve it the problem.
