Steam Games Coming to iPad & iPhone?
Valve Corporation’s Steam could be coming to an iOS- or Android-powered device soon. With the upcoming Electronics Entertainment Expo only a few weeks away, speculation is that Valve is pushing for Steam-powered games sooner rather than later. Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android app stores are full of games already, but Valve is certain that they could take mobile gaming to another level.
Steam brought dash of hope and promised greener pastures for the Macs troubling games department. An accompanying Steam SDK designed to take care of platform differences enables programmers to write or adapt premium titles that arent second-class citizens on the Mac platform. Also helping move the ball forward is the Mac App Store with its growing library of iOS-ported games, including such hits as Angry Birds, Flight Control and more.
