Intel acquires a Philips Electronics Spinoff – Silicon Hive

We first heard about Silicon Hive back in 2010 when they announced that the company got a $7M investment for a Intel Corporation to apply its parallel processing technology across mobile and embedded segments based on the Intel Atom Processor roadmap. With impressive semiconductor Systems-on-Chip (SoC) market growth this looked like something that Intel would scoop up and they company did. In a press release today released by New Venture Partners, it looks like Intel has acquired the company for an undisclosed amount.
