AMD Announces Five New AMD Opteron 6100 Series Processors

AMD today announced the immediate availability of five new members of the AMD Opteron 6100 Series processor family that specifically address rising demand for low-power, balanced systems for SMBs and increased performance-per-dollar-per-watt for enterprise and public sector environments. These new 12- and 8-core AMD Opteron processors will help enhance the companies product offerings until 16-core Bulldozer-based Opteron processors arrive later this year. The new processors are the 6132 HE, 6140, 6166 HE, 6176 and the 6180 SE.
