Acer GN245HQ 3D Monitor Announced – Supports NVIDIA 3D Vision Over HDMI

Acer recently announced the GN245HQ 1080p display that is the first 3D monitor in the world to support the HDMI stereoscopic 3D solution from NVIDIA, enabling users to fully appreciate the array of possibilities brought by the stereoscopic technology. This monitor has a 23.6-inch LED backlit panel with Full HD (1920×1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Other features include a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time, and up to 68 percent less power consumption courtesy of a two-lamp design (as opposed to four lamps). The Acer GN245HQ display will be available from mid March for 419.99 inc Vat. Not a bad price for the world’s first 3D monitor to support the HDMI 3D solution from Nvidia! Being able to support 3D over a HDMI cable or dual link DVI is pretty cool!
