8th Gen Intel Core Processor Family to Debut Aug. 21

At 8 a.m. PDT, Aug. 21, 2017, Intel will unveil the 8th Generation Intel Core processor family on Facebook Live. This just happens to be the day of all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun. Intel’s 8th Generation ‘Coffee Lake’ processors lineup is rumored to have multiple 6-core prcocessors and they are expected to be about 30% more powerful than Intel’s 7th Generation ‘Kaby Lake’ processors. The desktop processors will still use the existing LGA1151 socket, but the pin out is rumored to be different and that they will only work on the upcoming Intel Z370 chipset boards. Hopefully we will learn more about that from Intel on August 21st!
