By

The Mafia II Demo from 2K Games was released this Tuesday as a title fully supporting NVIDIA PhysX. PhysX support is great as a third-person shooter with a playstyle similar to the Grand Theft Auto and Saint’s Row series, both of which would benefit greatly from the use of PhysX. The demo released with its share of bugs including very poor performance with physX enabled which is set to be patched through Steam, though there is already a workaround. Read on for more info about the Mafia II demo and to see how well a GeForce GTX 460 1GB fares on various settings!

The Mafia II Demo In-Game Benchmark

Early Tuesday morning 2k Games released a demo of their much anticipated 3rd person action shooter Mafia II. This demo really was interesting to us because it had a built-in benchmark that we could use to quickly and easily compare different settings and video cards. For many months we have also been hearing good things about this demo from NVIDIA touting the great PhysX graphics that 2K Games implemented in the game.
