AMD hasn't said a word to us about the Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition graphics card this week, but they did go up for pre-order last night at midnight. Several online retailers are beginning to take pre-orders for AMD's Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition bundle, which is essentially an AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card that comes with a Battlefield 4 Premium copy.

Newegg currently lists the ASUS X9290X-DC2T-4GD5, MSI R9 290X 4GD5 and the Sapphire 100361SR as the three models that are coming soon.

No prices are on the site though and you can just be auto-notified when it becomes available. Swedish retailer listed the ASUS Radeon R9-290X 4GB BF4 bundle for 7,299 SEK (including all applicable taxes and shipping), which roughly converts to US $1,145.That site claims that the card will be released on October 11th, 2013. This price seems to be a bit high as the AMD Radeon R9 290X is rumored to be around $600 and the BF4 Digital Deluxe copy is only $69.99 (Not the same thing, but gives you a general price point since you can't buy BF4 premium yet).

Webhallen shows the card usesĀ  the 28 nm "Hawaii" GPU and that the Radeon R9 290X features 2,816 GCN stream processors, 176 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and a 512-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 4 GB of memory. The clock speeds are shown at 800MHz core (1000MHz Turbo) and 1250MHz (5GHz) on the 4GB of GDDR5 memory. It also lists support for DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3, Mantle and AMD TrueAudio.
