Possible Intel Core i7-8700K and Core i7-8700 Specifications Leaked
It looks like someone over at the Anandtech forums might have leaked Intel Core i7-8700K, Core i7-8700, Core i5-8600K and Core i5-8600 Coffee Lake processor specifications tonight! The posts made look more detailed than anything leaked before and the specifications look pretty good. All will be 6-core processors with 6- or 12-threads depending on the model. The Intel Core i7-8700K is a 6-core, 12-thread part with a 3.7 GHz base clock and has a turbo clock up to 4.7 GHz on one core. This processor is said to have 12MB of L3 cache and a 95W TDP. The extra cores will be nice for gamers and will help Intel keep the new AMD Ryzen processors at bay.
The base clock frequencies look may look a bit low, but as one forum member said it could be due to extreme scenarios when running heavy AVX loads or CPU + iGPU heavy workloads. No prices have been leaked or suggested for any of the models, but we expect them to be priced around the same as the equivalent models on the market today. It will be interesting to see how close the leaked numbers are in the months ahead. They might be spot on or they might just be something someone just made up at home. So, take a look at the Intel Coffee Lake leaked specifications below and tell us if you think they are fake or real!
