NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition Video Card Now Available To Purchase
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card is now available to order/purchase in many locations around the world! We published an in-depth performance review of the Founders Edition last week and found that it was indeed the fastest consumer graphics card in the world and feedback from web showed that gamers were impressed by the new Pascal GPU powered beast and wanted to get their hands on one.
The GeForce GTX 1080 uses the GP104 ‘Pascal’ GPU that is built using the new 16nm FinFET manufacturing process and has 8GB of GDDR5X (G5X) video memory (VRAM) that is clocked at 10Gbps on a 256-bit bus.
You can now purchase the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition, but they are tough to come by as Amazon and Newegg haven’t posted them all for sale just yet. We looked around and found that NCIX had a bunch available and in-stock for $909.99 shipped. We expect the prices to be adjusted back to ‘normal’ here shortly as inventory is updated in their system.
The good news is you can order it direct from EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI and other manufacturers websites.
Micro Center is showing 10 GTX 1080 cards in-stock and available at most retail locations this morning at the suggested MSRP of $699.99 for the Founders Edition card!
Over in the UK we found that Overclockers.co.uk has them in-stock as well.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 will be released on June 10th, 2016 if you are looking for something a bit more affordable!
