AMD's Next Generation of Richland APUs Exposed

AMD has begun to shipping a refresh of Trinity to computer makers. These new chips are reported to be based on the same Piledriver CPU core. AMD did include a new faster integrated memory controller, which now supports DDR3  2133MHz memory kits. They will also sport a new graphics core branded with the 8000 series moniker. While they are named after the upcoming 8000 series they will not actually be based on the 8000 series architecture, but instead the 6000 series. This information is right in line with AMD's road map.

Overall AMD has managed to boost the frequency of the CPU cores by 300 MHZ across the range when compared to the previous generation Trinity. They also managed to boost the GPU clock rate by 34-84MHz. The same TDP or thermal design power remains the same as previous generation processors. Keeping the trend alive the K represents a unlocked variant which will allow users to overclock these models. This information is not set in stone, as this information is leaked. Listed below are the desktop variants of "Richland"
