Legit Reviews Watches Space Shuttle Endeavour Roll Through Inglewood & Los Angeles

The space shuttle Endeavour is slowly rolling through the streets of Los Angeles today! The final mission for Endeavour was a tricky course through downtown streets and a crossing a bridge over the 405 Freeway as it rolls on to its new home at the California Science Center in Exposition Park. The massive space vehicle made a two-hour stop at the Forum in Inglewood, which is where some of the Legit Reviews crew was able to take one last look at the shuttle that survived 123 million miles of space travel. In space, the shuttle traveled at a blazing 17,500 mph. But this final victory lap through narrow Los Angeles streets will proceed at 2 mph. The shuttles 78-foot wingspan has caused a number of issues along with way and many environmentalists are not happy that nearly 400 tress had to be cut down in Inglewood and South L.A. to make room for the space shuttle Endeavour to roll by. Endeavour’s 12-mile road trip kicked off shortly before midnight Thursday and is expected to arrive at its final resting place tomorrow. The Space Shuttle Endeavour exhibit will be open to the public on October 30th, 2012.
