EK Water Blocks Releases Full-Cover Block For Radeon HD 7850 Video Cards
EK Water Blocks recently announced that they have developed a full-cover water block, the EK-FC7850, for AMD Radeon HD 7850 video cards that are based on the AMD reference design as well as Powercolor's LF R17FA. This water block will be shipping on September 14th, 2012 and is available in Nickel Plexi (€80.95 or $102.30) and Nickel Acetal (€86.95 or $109.89). Both variants are available for preorder now.
This water block directly cools the GPU and RAM as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM (passively cooled) to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC7850 water block also features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps. Base is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality cast satin finish acrylic or POM Acetal material (depending on the variant). Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe, painless installation procedure.
