Razer Unveils Next Gen Razer Blade High End Gaming Laptop With Improved Cooling System

Razer has unveiled a revised version of its high end gaming laptop, the Razer Blade. Along with excellent gaming performance, the main difference between this laptop and the old version is an improved cooling system using quieter fans, specially designed heatpipes that allow more airflow to the unit’s extreme components and bigger exhaust vents. All of these enhancements offer improved cooling effectiveness leading to lower temperatures, which are important for those graphics-intensive games that the laptop is built to handle.

"The original Razer Blade's thermal system was completely re-engineered and built from custom-crafted parts with larger vents and specially designed heat pipes that allow more airflow to the unit's extreme components. With one of the most innovative thermal solutions in the industry, the new Razer Blade incorporates a tremendous amount of power and performance in an ultra-thin form factor.

The new Razer Blade is only 0.88 inches thick, less than half the thickness of traditional gaming laptops of comparable performance. Combined with an ultra-slim power supply, the entire system weighs less than seven pounds, less than half the weight of other gaming laptops, making it the lowest profile, lightest gaming laptop of its class. In short – the Razer Blade has equivalent performance to some of the most powerful traditional gaming laptops, but at a fraction of their size and weight."

Note that the exact CPU model used in the laptop has not yet been revealed, with Razer mysteriously describing it as, "Future platform with 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor". The otherwise full specs are listed below and the laptop will be available on September 30 for $2,499.99, with pre-orders being taken from September 2.
