MSI Introduces OC Certified Mainboards - MSI Z77 MPOWER

MSI has been focused on making overclocking mainboards in recent years and today announced what they believe is a huge step forward with the MSI Z77 MPOWER motherboard. Each and every MSI Z77 MPOWER motherboard that is shipped was submitted to a 24 hour OC stress-test that was done at the factory. Only mainboards surviving 24 hours of Prime95 while overclocked to 4.6GHz will be shipped. To make sure the test conditions are tough enough, they are done in thermochamber with the heat cranked up and without airflow. MSI believes this will greatly reduce the number of DOA boards and ensure the best overclocking experience possible.

OC Certified is a major extension of MSI's Military Class certification. Military Class III mainboards already have their component quality tested in rigorous tests to ensure all-round stability. OC Certified puts these components to the ultimate test. When an MSI Z77 MPOWER passes the OC Certified test it is able to run in overclocked conditions in high temperatures with little to no airflow . Final OC results of course vary with the component quality of the entire system and users’ technique, but at least you can count on your mainboard not being the limiting factor.
