Packaging and external impressions

The Kingston Mini Fun comes packed, as most all flash drives are now, in a plastic clamshell. The package also sports the system requirements for the two preloaded games.

Kingston DT Mini Fun Accessories

The Mini Fun comes with a lanyard that can be used to attach the dive to your key ring.

Kingston DT Mini Fun Cap

To add to the fun and have some functionality the cap and base are lego-esk. With this design, the cap can be stored securely on end of device to prevent loss. If you had enough of the them, you might be able to actually build something!

Kingston DT Mini Fun

Kingston was not wrong in calling this drive mini. As you can see in the image above, the body of the drive is almost as small as the USB plug. This is good and bad. Good because it is small and will fit nicely on your key ring, bad because it’s so small you might easily loose the darn thing if you’re not to careful. The drive measures 1.5″ x 0.75″ x 0.31″ (38mm x 19mm x 8mm) if you are curious of its exact size.

Atlantis Game Screen Shot

For the fun part of the Mini Fun, Kingston included two puzzle games from Big Fish games. The two games are the popular Soduko numbers game and Atlantis shown above. Atlantis is billed as a kids game, but it was found to be quite addictive. Atlantis is like a cross between Space Invaders and Bejeweled! A snake of multi colored balls work their way thru a maze, while you shoot balls to get groups of 3 or more in order to eliminate the snake before it can reach the exit. Now, this seems simple enough, but as the game progresses through its 87 levels it gets faster the maze gets crazier.
