Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH with Intel Iris Graphics 6100 Shown at GDC
The Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH is the first NUC model ever released that will feature an Intel Core i7 Processor and it is due to debut in Q2 2015. We managed to spot the NUC5i7RYH today at the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco and thought we’d share some images of the upcoming NUC with you.
Word on the street is that the Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH will feature an Intel Core i7-5557U processor. This 28W TDP processor features powerful Intel Iris Graphics 6100, which means it will be 4K ready and should be able to play some mainstream game titles.
The Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH uses the larger NUC housing, but it looks like the CPU cooler is no larger than than the Core i5 version from the outside. Intel says that the enclosure has a capacity of 0.62 liters. We weren’t allowed to take a peak inside, but we were told that it takes a M.2 PCIe SSD and is loaded up features.
From what we have heard it uses the same exact motherboard as thr Core i3 and Core i5 Rock Canyon NUC’s. This means that the only difference is the SoC and of course the price tag.
Intel has not announced pricing, but the Intel NUC5i7RYH will be available in April 2015.
