During the Decompressing phase of the 7-Zip benchmark the 990X completed 32091 MIPs while the second performer, the 2600K completed only 22198 MIPs. That’s a difference of 44.6%. The 990X was able to hit 29973 MIPs during the compressing tests while the 2600K was able to hit 22508 MIPs which is a difference of 33.2%.
