CES 2014 – Anker Shows Off External Battery With PowerIQ, An Intelligent Identification System
Santa Clara, CA January 4, 2013 Anker, creator of reliable, affordable and simplified electronic accessories, introduces PowerIQ technology to their flagship line of external batteries, starting with the second generation Astro Pro and Astro Pro2. Making their debut at the 2014 International CES, the Astro Pro series are the first Anker external batteries to feature PowerIQ technology, ensuring the fastest possible charge for every mobile device.
Unlike most other chargers that are hardwired for Android or Apple, PowerIQ takes the guesswork out of compatibility using a microchip to intelligently identify your mobile device and enable the maximum charging speed. Both the Astro Pro and Astro Pro2 are constructed with sleek aluminum for durability and a slim design for optimal portability. LCD screens easily and accurately display the percentage of power level, charging status and voltage selection.
Reinvented to evolve with the needs of todays multi-device consumer, the new Astro Pro series offers a total of four charging ports three USB ports powered by PowerIQ quick-charge technology and an adjustable 9/12 volt port capable of charging up to 4 devices simultaneously. Also, an energy efficiency rate 10 percent higher than the previous generation creates even more usable power.
The Anker Astro Pro 15000mAh battery features enough power to charge smartphones four to seven times and tablets one to two times. The Astro Pro itself is charged completely in just four to five hours using the included 110-240V AC adapter.
For users who need even more juice, Ankers Astro Pro2 packs a 20000mAh punch capable of charging smartphones six to ten times and tablets up to three times. The Astro Pro2 will charge itself completely in five to six hours. Ankers goal of making the smart life easier starts with affordable, high-quality products with an 18-month warranty. As Anker continues to grow and update their product line, all external batteries and USB wall chargers will feature PowerIQ quick-charge technology.
The Astro Pro series will be available in early January on Amazon.com starting at $69.99. The Astro Pro series is compatible with Apple, Galaxy, Nexus, One, Kindle, Droid Razr, Lumia and more.
