ASUS Crosshair V Formula ‘Bulldozer’ Motherboard Review
ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula Retail Packaging
If the appearance of retail packaging could influence my buying decisions, the ASUS Crosshair V Formula could do it. It’s kept clean and marketing text free. All that we have on the front of the packaging is the Republic of Gamers logo, product name, processor support, and multi GPU support emblems for both SLI and CrossFireX
Much like many of the ASUS Republic of Gamers motherboards, the retail packaging for the CrossHair V Formula has a front cover that opens up so you can take a look at the board itself. From the glimpse of the Crosshair V Formula that we can see here, it’s much like the packaging, very clean looking. We’ll get more into that in the next pages.
The inside of the front cover has the marketing text that the front is missing. While this keeps the front clean, it’s also a great marketing tool. In order to read the text inside the cover you had to pick up the Crosshair V Formula and it’s now in your hands. Inside the cover you will find details on the ROG Connect, Extreme Engine DIGI+, Intel Ethernet, SupremeFX X-Fi 2 and bundled software which includes Kaspersky Anti-Virus, and DAEMON Tools Pro.
The back of the retail packaging for the ASUS Crosshair V Formula lists out some of the specifications of the board.
The ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula has a pretty solid bundle that accompanies it. It comes with the typical accessories like SATA cables, manual, I/O shield, driver disk and ASUS q-connects. It also comes with few extras like labels for your SATA Cables, multi-GPU bridges for SLI, CrossFireX, and Tri-SLI, a USB cable for use with the ROG Connect, and we can’t forget the decal for the side of your case!
