AMD Radeon RX Vega Blind Gaming Test Done By HardOCP
Kyle Bennett over at HardOCP has posted up an image of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card! It appears that he is working on an “RX Vega FreeSync vs. GTX 1080 Ti G-Sync Blind Gaming test video”
“Just a little tease here as to what is coming this week. RX Vega FreeSync vs. GTX 1080 Ti G-Sync Blind Gaming test video being edited now. All done at my house, with gamers with a couple hundred years of twitch gaming experience. All system UEFI and OS set up by me personally.” – Kyle Bennett
AMD fans are rejoicing at the fact that Kyle is testing it against the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, but are fearful that it means it performs slower. The blind test could be to show that despite the lower performance it feels the same on a FreeSync display for less money? Kyle stated in his forms that AMD wanted him to use a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card for the testing, but he wanted to use a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
It will be interesting to see what the outcome of his blind gaming test will be with the gamers he invited to play around on it during the day he had the system with AMD. Kyle stated on his forums that the video he created of the blind gaming demo is completed and that the article should be up tomorrow. That was posted at 1am this morning, so could that actually mean later today still?
Update: The video is up:
